These FAQ's are specifically for Qualcast products purchased at Homebase
Question: I have purchased a Qualcast (Homebase) Petrol Product, the engine wont start. What should I do?
Please follow the attached start up-procedure shown below to help remedy the problem.
If your equipment will still not start, perhaps it may need a spare part or repair.
Please telephone our helpline on 0151 649 1500 and ask for assistance.
Question: What type of petrol should I use?
Answer: Standard un-leaded fuel is the only fuel that should be used with any Qulacast (Homebase) Petrol Products. You can find this at your local filling station and should carry this in an appropriate container.
Question: What should I use to lubricate the chain on my chainsaw?
Answer: Chainsaw chain Oil is the only oil that should be used to lubricate the chain, this can be found at your local DIY Retailer or where you purchased your product. If have any problems sourcing this oil, please call or e-mail our spares department firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for assistance.
Question: What is the fuel mix ratio?
Answer: The fuel mix ratio is 40/1 - this means 40 parts of petrol to 1 part of 2-stroke oil. Use the mixer bottle provided with the equipment to help you measure this. Alternatively you can use a suitable plastic container.
Question: Where can I purchase spare parts?
Answer: Einhell stock various spare parts for units that they manufacture. Please have your unit article number and description to hand and e-mail our email@example.com or call us on 0151 649 1500.
Question: Is there a parts stockist in my area?
Answer: Einhell UK operate a mail order system for shelved spare parts & accessories.
There are currently no other Einhell spares stockists in the UK.
Question: Where can I take my machine to have the carburettor adjusted?
Answer: Any good Lawnmower or petrol machinery repair agent will be able to do this.
Try your local garden centre for addresses or telephone numbers for agents.
Question: What happens if a fault occurs under warranty?
Answer: We endeavour to help you with spare parts or technical assistance at all times. However, If your product develops a fault, and we are unable to help, you have the right to return it to Homebase within 12 months of the purchase date. All refunds & exchange requests must be accompanied by the receipt.
This product is guaranteed for twenty four months from the date of original purchase. Any defects that arises due to faulty materials or workmanship will either be replaced, refunded or repaired free of charge where possible during this period by the dealer from whom you purchased the unit.
